OPEN FOR BUSINESS

An award winning restaurant on Belfast’s Talbot Street has launched a new initiative to help kick-start networking in the local business community.

No 27 has created the ‘Business Club’, which offers small companies and larger organisations in Northern Ireland the opportunity to join free of charge and network with other members at events taking place throughout the year.

Launching No 27’s new ‘Business Club’ is head chef and joint owner Alan Higginson with President of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Belfast, Jacinta Parkhill

Junior Chamber International Belfast (JCI) has recently signed up, and hopes to realise the potential for new lead generation in the informal setting of the restaurant. Its members can also enjoy some great food prepared by No 27’s culinary team.

Jacinta Parkhill, President of JCI Belfast said, “JCI is a networking and personal development organisation for young professionals and we have seen the interest in the organisation rise in the last few months due to the fact that the business community realise that networking does not solely take place in the boardroom. We welcome this initiative by No 27 and regularly host events for our members in informal venues such as restaurants and bars, as we have found that a meeting over a bite to eat can very often produce tangible business results.”
Once signed up to the Business Club, members can enjoy a host of benefits.
Alan Higginson, Head Chef and joint owner of No 27 said, “We launched the Business Club as we understand that in this current economic climate every opportunity should be made for new business generation and our restaurant offers an informal setting with great food. It is free to join and will offer members a substantial discount off lunch in the restaurant as well as other benefits throughout the year such as wine tasting events, competitions and business breakfasts.”

The partnership allows JCI Belfast to make a civic contribution by getting involved with some of the Barnardo’s projects that are helping to turn children’s lives around in the Belfast area.”
Barnardo’s Head of Fundraising, Jeanie Rogers said, “We are delighted that JCI Belfast has chosen to support Barnardo’s, particularly as these are young professionals who are showing their support for children who are less-advantaged.”
