Effective Networking & Social Media

JCI Belfast are hosting a members evening at the Merchant Hotel, Private Members Bar, with Stephen Brown of The Adventure Team and Tracy Gilpin of Gilpin Consulting.

One of the most important elements of the business world is having a good network .  If you want to succeed in today’s highly competitive business environment, you need to be able to network successfully.  Modern entrepreneurs and businesses increasingly recognise the ability to develop a strong network is essential to the success and development of an organisation. Therefore, it is essential to be able to do this effectively.

Tracy Gilpin has an established and successful consultancy business, offering a range of assessment and development services.  From 1998 the promotion of her business has depended on word of mouth and networking.  As the business continued to grow she became complacent, but with the recent changes in market conditions she realised a rethink of her whole approach was needed and that she needed to re-embrace what is a feared pastime for many – networking!

Stephen Brown is the founder of The Adventure Team who provide a varied and diverse range of outdoor activities that include teambuilding, energizers, orienteering among others.   Following on from our last members night Stephen will provide an insight to the power of social media and the impact it has had on his business along with tips and tricks as well as the ‘what not to do’s`.
